Our Experience: Will Woldenberg has managed vendors of all sizes throughout his career. He has experience working with, among others, Mott MacDonald, NRG, Nexant, CMC Energy Services, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Accenture and Grid One Solutions. He has led and assisted in the selection of multiple vendors throughout his career.

We believe that the best process for vendor selection follows a simple 7-step process.

  • First, thoroughly determine requirements through your initiative implementation process.
  • Ensure those requirements are written simply enough for someone outside of the business to understand.
  • Create an itemized systems requirements specification document, which will form the basis of your request for information/proposal.
  • Complete the RFI/RFP and engage your supplier network (via the procurement department) to request proposals, offering multiple opportunities for a question and answer period.
  • Utilize a “blind-view” read-through process of the proposals, appropriately weighting key criterion.
  • Invite selected vendors for an inperson meeting and demonstration.
  • Conduct a final review and analyze the selection.
